Guilin Medical University was authorized to enroll international students in 1993, and it is one of the first batch of institutions of higher learning that were confirmed by Ministry of Education of the PRC to be qualified for doing that.After so many years’exploration and preparation, GLMU founded its College of International Education in 2007, and started enrolling international students in 2008.

Currently, College of International Education offers undergraduate programs of clinical medicine, stomatology, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, nursing, rehabilitation therapy, etc., and enrolls postgraduates to study programs of clinical medicine, basic medicine, medical laboratory technology, pharmacy, etc. As the scale and levels of the international education increase constantly, it has admitted students who study for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree, from some countries along the Belt and Road, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Pakistan, Nepal, Tajikistan, etc., some African countries, such as Cameroon and Nigeria, as well as the USA, Canada, and India, and it has collected rich experience in teaching, educating and managing international students.

After the establishment, the college takes cultivating medical talents that meet international need as its educational objective, upholds“Diligence, Perseverance, Discernment and Tolerance”as its motto, strives to enhance its international educational strength, endeavors to improve the quality of its talent cultivation, continuously promotes the internationalization of the university’s education.
